one bay at the tip of the boot we call italy has become a gathering place for many a group of pubescent human boys.
where the land meets the sea, every summer, they test the strength of their intuition.
beyond observing what natural processes they undergo, they intervene.
they try and act, to eliminate uncertainty? to bind the many the paths into a single one: make a decision! overcome your frailty!
some choices are processes – they must choose again and again and again.
some snap all future possibility – a quick moment and the question is settled at once.
in action they enlarge their oh so human capabilities.
level up.
there is still potential.
what’s at the end of all this?
climbing higher indefinitely?
or do they work this diligently to eliminate work, finally. to maybe pass some time in passivity.
